Congratulations to the HMS students who attended the National Junior Honor Society ceremony this week. We cannot wait to see the difference that our 7th graders will make next year when they become 8th graders!

Our first graders celebrated Flag Day today at HCS! First grade parents were treated to a great concert of patriotic music, songs, facts, and poems. The first graders also designed background artwork and showcased both their art and digital artwork at the celebration. A big thank you to the Grade 1 and UA Teams for organizing this event. Congratulations first graders on a job well done! #hcshuskies

Our 5th graders played Bingo for Books today. We handed out over 300 books (1-5 books/student) and about 50 posters. The majority of students even played with 2 boards! Many thanks to families for their donated books! Happy reading!

Congratulations to our New England League of Middle Schools (NELMS) Scholar Leader winners: Cole M. and Jaylen P. We are proud of both of you! #hmshawks

Way to go HCS Student Council for coordinating the first ever HCS food drive to support our very own Hampstead School District Saltbox Pantry! Thank you to all students and families who participated in this food drive to pack our pantry. We appreciate your support! #hcshuskies

Softball battled hard but lost in extra innings to Litchfield 4-5. The girls had an amazing game at one point down 4-0 but fought back to get back into the game. At top of the 5th the score was tied and the game was not decided until the bottom of the 8th.

Baseball beat an undefeated-top seeded Cawley MS 3-1 to take home their 3rd straight Championship. We scored 2 runs in the 1st to take the lead + then pushed another run across in the 7th to extend the lead to 3-1. We finished the season 10-2-1. Congrats boys!

Last week our school celebrated Field Day with lots of laughs, spirit, and fun! There were relay races, a dance station, tug-a-war, chalk drawing, matt ball, limbo, and everyone's favorite - ice pops! It was a fun day for our students and staff! #hcshuskies

Another reason we are SO PROUD of our 8th graders this year. Way to go Hawks! Thank you for being amazing.

Reminder! Tomorrow is the last day to donate to the HCS Student Council Food Drive to benefit the Saltbox Pantry. Please bring in any food donations by tomorrow to support this great cause! #hcshuskies

The softball team won in dramatic fashion, with a 8-7 walk off victory over Hooksett. The game was tied in the bottom of the 10th inning when Nalia H doubled, scoring Jaylen P. Kendall L had a key hit tying up the score in the bottom of the 7th inning.

Baseball beat Litchfield 6-4 in the semi finals to improve their record to 9-2-1 on the season. The win sends us to the Championship for the 3rd season in a row - looking for a 3-peat. They take on Cawley MS on the road in Hooksett this Wed. - 6/7. Come support our Hawks!

Baseball beat Raymond MS yesterday (1/4 finals), scoring runs every inning including 2 runs in the bottom of the 5th to end the game 10-0. The win sends them to the semi-finals on 6/5 @ Litchfield where they look to make it to their 3rd straight Championship. Go Hawks!

The softball team ended their season in 2nd place with a record of 7-2. The coaching staff is so proud of how hard the girls worked this season. Our 1st playoff game will be Monday at Depot Rd! Please mark your calendar and come support this amazing team!

Last Friday was HCS Community Day, a day in which our school celebrated our wonderful town of Hampstead. Our second graders put on a parade and two concerts. The parade featured our second graders marching with community banners along with members of our school board, community leaders, and the Hampstead Fire and Police Departments. It was a fun event for all! After the parade, parents were treated to a concert featuring singing, dancing, student art and student digital work. Later in the afternoon the entire HCS school community had the opportunity to attend the Gr. 2 Community Concert. Our second graders did a fantastic job! A big thank you goes out to our HCS Second Grade Team, the UA Team, our community leaders, school board members, the Hampstead Fire Department, and the Hampstead Police Department for making our Community Day such a special event! #hcshuskies
