The Girls B Hawks basketball team lost a hard fought semi final game to #1 seed Amherst 28-35. The Hawks trailed very close behind a tough Amherst team for almost the entire game. Early in the 4th quarter, the Hawks tied it up and battled for the win. Unfortunately in the last few minutes of play, Amherst sunk three back to back three pointers to win the game. The girls had an awesome season and should be so proud of how far they made it. A big shout out to our two captains, Eloise and Abby, for leading this team with devotion and spirit. Great season girls. Go Hawks!

Hampstead Central School students attended an assembly last Friday to learn about Kindness Week! They learned about Blankets of Hope, a service learning project where students will write messages of inspiration, encouragement, and kindness to those in need. Students will participate in a Kindness Workshop where they will attach their letters to one of the 420 blankets that were donated for this project. The blankets will then be delivered to local foundations and organizations to be given to those who need them the most! Stay tuned for photos of the Kindness Workshop in action in our classes! Thank you to Mrs. McLaughlin for organizing this great community service project!

Hampstead Middle School took second place at the Nashua cheer competition today! Nice job Hawks!

HCS Kindness Week February 10-14--
Next week HCS will celebrate Kindness
Week! We will practice acts of kindness and celebrate with
spirit-themed days. Kindness Week will kick off this Friday, February 7th when
we will have an assembly to launch a project called Blankets
of Hope. This initiative spreads warmth and kindness to those
in need. As part of the project, our school is not only
donating cozy blankets but also writing heartfelt messages
and encouraging notes to individuals facing hardships. This
experience teaches students about the power of generosity
and making a difference in their community.

Girls B defeated Milford 31-19 in their 1/4 final playoff game. Addy A led the way in scoring with Eloise, Emma, Abby, Sofia, Evie, Mila, Emerson and Julia adding pts. This was a whole team win, both offensively and defensively. They will move onto the semis against Amherst.

A depleted Hawks A basketball team played Litchfield yesterday in a Tri-County quarter-final game at Litchfield. The Hawks gave them all they could handle as they played an inspired game both offensively and defensively. With the lead changing many time the Hawks found themselves down by 5 with a minute and a half left in regulation but managed to hit some crucial shots and tied the game just before the 4th quarter buzzer sounded. Overtime saw several Hawks foul out, yet they continued to battle. Eventually Litchfield pulled away for the hard fought win 65-58.
Playing great defense and offense the team stuck together and made themselves proud to be HMS HAWKS. Quinn B led the offense with 20 points while AJ M had 15, Parker C had 12 and Christian W had 11. Parker also had the tough job of covering their scorer and amazingly held him to one basket. Emilio D had numerous rebounds and played a strong defensive game.
